Holiday Giving: Spreading Joy & Uplifting Communities

At our core, we are people serving people. We are devoted to bettering the lives of our team members, customers, Shareholders, and communities. Through our employee-led philanthropic YulistaCARES initiatives we encourage others to do the same. Our mission is to help engage Yulista team members with our community through acts of service. Through CARES, our teams rally together to empower others because when one wins, we all win.
We recognize the impact individual non-profits have on the well-being of our teammates, our families, and our communities. Yulista is committed to making significant contributions to these organizations through volunteer hours, financial contributions, and targeted resources.
Our annual backpack campaign is just one way team Yulista gets involved. Our employee-led CARES initiative donates backpacks with school supplies to students around the world! We aim to make a difference in a child’s education and life. In 2025, we aim to raise and deliver 1,700 backpacks and school supplies in 9 states.
Once we hit our goal of 1,700 backpacks, every dollar raised will go directly to supporting the relocation of the Alaska Native village of Mertarvik, a community in dire need of assistance due to rising sea levels and coastal erosion.

The 2025 Backpack Campaign is off to a great start! We want to keep that momentum going so here`s a Top 10 list of things to remember when supporting this year`s campaign:
💗 Our 2025 goal is 1,700 backpacks and runs through May 30th.
💗 Donations beyond this goal will support the relocation of Mertarvik, an Alaskan village threatened by rising sea levels and coastal erosion.
💗 Regardless of when we reach the backpack goal, all aspects of the campaign will continue through May 30th, including raffle giveaways and competitions for top team and top donor.
💗 Donating to a team is not required, however if you’d like your donation to go towards a team total, be sure to select the team your support under “Select Your Team” and add to your cart. If you are not purchasing for a team, select "N/A" under team selection.
💗 Every $15 donation enters you into the weekly raffle drawings. Donate early for the best chances to win! (Donors who don`t work at Yulista are eligible for raffle prizes too!)
💗 Team Yulista donors whose cumulative campaign donations total $100 or more, are entered to win MEGA raffles at the end of the campaign.
💗 There are also amazing prizes for the Top Team and the Top Individual Donors.

Trisha Hancock has been a standout at Yulista for nearly five years. Starting as Mike’s Executive Assistant, she quickly advanced to Aviation Office Manager, where she oversees travel, logistics, and purchase orders for six subsidiaries, driving our success.
Her community involvement is equally impressive. She led the #YulistaCARES program for three years, providing support to communities in Huntsville and Alaska. Now, she co-presides over the Young Professional Advisory Council at the @ncac_hsv, which focuses on child abuse prevention. Trisha`s dedication and skills make her an invaluable asset to #TeamYulista.

With a turnout of approximately 200 attendees and 20 creative trunks, our first-ever #TeamYulista Trunk or Treat Spooktacular was a hit! The creativity of the trunks and costumes was next level. From tiny witches to superheroes, everyone dressed up to add to the festive vibe. The Best Kids` Costume Contest brought out the best of Halloween spirit, and the winners were the adorable Vanellope von Schweetz and her parents from Wreck It Ralph - - we hope you enjoy the golden pumpkin candy bucket! With so many uniquely decorated trunks, we knew the Best Trunk competition would be fierce. Attendees voted for their favorite trunk which resulted in a tie, so both winning trunks took home a $50 Café Us gift card! Congratulations to Duncan Brady with his McColdFront Deli & the MIM Team`s Spooky Trunk, led by Ceceila Rice!
Thank you to our volunteer team of grillers, food preppers, and setup/clean-up crews! A special shout out goes to the #YulistaCARES Officers as they worked incredibly hard to plan this event as a thank you for our Huntsville team members. Thank you for making this Spooktacular event so memorable! 🧡

Since 2014, Yulista has provided school supplies and backpacks to the Calista Region in Alaska and to Madison County here in Alabama. Our goal this year was to provide 1000 backpacks; we met our goal of donating 500 to Alaska and 500 to schools and agencies in Madison County. One of those local agencies was the National Children’s Advocacy Center. We were excited to deliver the backpacks and hope that this small donation will make a difference for the children in our communities. ⠀
