That is our purpose and through our philanthropic YulistaCARES initiatives we encourage others to do the same. Our mission is to help engage Yulista team members with our community through acts of service. Through CARES, our teams rally together to empower others because when one wins, we all win. We are devoted to bettering the lives of our team members, customers, shareholders, and communities. Our annual backpack campaign is just one way team Yulista gets involved. Our employee-led CARES initiative donates backpacks with school supplies to students around the world! We aim to make a difference in a child’s education and life. Last year, YulistaCARES delivered 1,941 backpacks and school supplies across the nation.

In a wonderful display of teamwork, team members from Lexington, KY, and Huntsville, Alabama, joined forces to donate 8,860 candy-filled plastic Easter eggs to local foster organizations. Most donated eggs already filled with candy, but some team members even coordinated stuffing parties to do it together! These eggs were graciously donated to support two significant organizations: @bairfoundation in Lexington and the North Alabama Foster Closet in Huntsville. We hope this donation drive provided immense joy to foster children and families and added festive cheer to Easter celebrations in these communities. #YulistaCARES #fosteringconnections
The 2024 Backpack Campaign is LIVE! Through generous donations, Yulista and our communities raise and deliver backpacks filled with school supplies to students across the nation. Starting TODAY – May 31, we have a goal to raise 1,700 backpacks and supplies for students in 8 states! 500 of those backpacks will be delivered to students in the Calista Region of Alaska. The remaining 1,200 backpacks will be delivered to schools in Alabama, New Jersey, Colorado, Hawaii, Virginia, Kentucky, and Arizona. #YulistaCARES showed up and glowed up for the @DRMHuntsville Glow Run 5k on March 2nd! Our Glow Run team was one of the largest at the event, over 25 strong full of CARES members and their families. In addition to being a Glow Runner event sponsor, the CARES team also raised $125. Some walked, some ran, but overall it was a fun night or everyone to come together to support the Downtown Rescue Mission goal to help those in need overcome hunger, homelessness, addiction, and abuse.
YulistaCARES and @ncac_hsv in #HuntsvilleAL are joining forces to spread the word about Child Abuse Prevention during the month of April. National Child Abuse Prevention Month recognizes the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse and neglect. If you are someone looking for guidance, #YulistaCARES has a resource table accessible to team members and the public at Cafe US located in our Huntsville headquarters. The pinwheels you see around Huntsville represent a message of hope. To raise awareness of child abuse prevention, we encourage everyone to wear blue on Tuesdays throughout April. This is a colorful reminder that this month is about child abuse advocacy, education, resource sharing, and ultimately, prevention.
In solidarity, #TeamYulista dressed in all shades of Pink to support those fighting breast cancer, cancer survivors and the ones we`ve lost but never forgot. Thank you for showing your support! #YulistaCARES will be joining the fight against Breast Cancer at the Liz Hurley Ribbon Run this Saturday! We encourage supporters to join us as we walk through Downtown Huntsville to raise awareness of the importance of research to help those fight and survive this disease. Something that has been on my heart over the past few years is getting more invested in my community and creating opportunities to give back. Last year, I accepted a position on the Board of my company’s Non-Profit program, Yulista CARES. Today, I accepted the position of Chairman of the Board. I can’t fully express how excited I am to really pour my heart into my city and continue to provide a helping hand. We have so many incredible organizations that provide essential services and aid to those who are struggling ranging over a multitude of issues. Huntsville is such a dynamic place and if the past year has taught us anything, we all could use a helping hand. #yulistacares
These photos aren’t glamorous. They are of beautiful scenery or delicious food. No smiling friends laughing over a fun experience.
However, these are some of the most important photos from our trip. If you don’t know, the sole purpose of the trip to Alaska was to delivery backpacks, dental kits, school supplies and warm weather gear to teachers and students in local villages that don’t have access to them or can’t afford to have them.
Take a moment to look at the prices of some of these items. It’s mind boggling to think about.
Yesterday, we flew to Bethel, Alaska. A small tundra village located on the inland bowl where we were gathered our supplies, met with our additional team members and gathered supplies.
(I’ll share more about Bethel later.) It was our place to regroup before we depart today.
Here is the reason we are in Alaska. Over the month of June, we held a fundraiser for backpacks and supplies to be donated to kids all over the country through YulistaCARES. Thanks to the generosity of our employees, we raised enough to purchase a years worth of supplies for every single teacher/staff at each school we are going to as well as backpacks and supplies for every kid (that’s 24 teachers and just under 400 kids!)
So today, we get to pack up our little seaplane and fly to each village. We get to meet the staff & teachers, play with kids and spend time really pouring to love into these villages. I have a feeling this is going to be a day we’ll never forget. #backpackcampaign #yulistacares #giveback #alaska #travel #adventure
#yulistaCARES had a busy August!
First, we had the Alaska trip to deliver almost 400 backpack full of school supplies to students. As well as fully supply 24 teachers and staff with a year’s worth of supplies.
Second, we started our local school supply drop-offs with various nonprofit and community programs. We also prepped roughly 500 backpacks to go to New Jersey, Hawaii, Texas and New Mexico.
Third, we launched our Employee Wellness Program. We partnered with heartalabama to host a series of weekly Lunch & Learns. Topics included Hands Only CPR, Building a Healthy Lifestyle and Mental Health in the Workplace. We also offered a Heart Healthy lunch option in our cafeteria with recipes from AHA.
Fourth, we volunteered with drmhuntsville for their annual Glow Run. Volunteers helped participants with parking and packets.
I am so proud of our members and the amazing yulistaholdingllc CARES Board I get to work with. We all have a big heart for giving back & we have so much in store for the future! #yulistacares #giveback
Can I brag about yulistaholdingllc for a moment?
Not only did they sponsor 19 families this year and purchase every single item that was requested, they bought extra. Enough to sponsor ANOTHER 6 KIDS! But it didn’t stop there. They raised over $1300. That allowed us to not only sponsor 3 extra kids. But allow us to make sure that Family A (Yulista Employee Family) was completely outfitted for Christmas in their new home. I can’t thank everyone enough for helping making this year’s #yulistaCARES Christmas Toy Drive such an incredible success. This is by far our biggest Christmas drop we’ve done. So proud to be a part of the Yulista Family! #yulistacares
