Through our employee-led philanthropic YulistaCARES program we encourage others to give back and make a positive impact on causes close to our hearts. Our mission is to help engage team members with our communities through acts of service because when one wins, we all win.

WAYS WE SUPPORT

We recognize the impact individual non-profits have on the well-being of our teammates, our families, and our communities. Yulista is committed to making significant contributions to these organizations through volunteer hours, financial contributions, and targeted resources.

Thank you so much for your amazingly generous donation to our Book Fairy program. Because of your generosity, 33 children were able to shop their local book fairs to grow their home libraries, practice consumer skills, and experience a sense of equity with their peers. The students are so excited to be gifted with Book Fairy magic, and we appreciate your support in treating impoverished children to the memorable extras that make learning fun.

Backpack Campaign

APRIL 1 - May 29, 2026

Our annual backpack campaign is just one way team Yulista gets involved. Our employee-led CARES initiative donates backpacks with school supplies to students around the world! We aim to make a difference in a child’s education and life. In 2026, we will deliver 1,700 backpacks in 9 states. Additionally, we raised $5,382 to cover cost of extra school supplies heading to Alaska!

I think we all have little dreams. Goals that we keep to ourselves that maybe we put on the back burner because we don’t think opportunities will ever come knocking.

My whole life, I’ve loved giving back and helping others. My heart had always had this little dream of finding ways to make a bigger impact. But sometimes it feels impossible to even know where to start.

So when the opportunity to head an outreach program at government contracting company came around, it seemed like this little gift. The building blocks to start to build an impact.

Over the past year, I’ve had the opportunity to witness people come together and make such a dynamic impact through a wide array of initiatives and programs that have the ability to make such an impact to people from all walks of lives. We’ve raised funds, created collection drives, organized free resources to people to have the tools and building blocks to live a full life.

Back in college, I discovered my Role Model, MM. Friends always joke or roll their eyes when I say she’s my role mode, but this gal has made an impact on my life in the best way. She inspired me to believe in myself, give more than you take and live life fully by living it with authenticity and inspiration. I feel like that part of myself has come alive again.

Yesterday, I arrived in Alaska where are going to travel to local villages to meet with kids who don’t have the tools they need to thrive. This has helped me realize that those little dreams we have in our hearts, might not make sense to others and they might seem unobtainable, but keep believing. Trust that even when the smallest opportunity comes along, you will be able to turn into something amazing. Not for yourself, but for those who need a helping hand. Day 3 - Yesterday, we started our 48 hour trek to the villages. First step, traveling to Bethel to meet up with the rest of the Team that will be joining us on our flight to the Northern Villages, Chevak & Hooper Bay.

Bethel is a connection point for a lot of the smaller villages to acquire food and other supplies not necessarily accessible to them locally. People take small planes or charters to get supplies. While, we all feel like the price of food and household items might have increased back home, this is a stark comparison - $41 for Paper Towels, $17 for Mandarin Oranges, and $11 for Color Pencils.

While Bethel is located on the Kuskoquim River, much of the land is Tundra. If you’ve never walked on Tundra before, it’s squishy. Think of walking on Marshmallows or a Water Bed. This is wonderful place to go Berry picking.

Day 4 in Alaska - This day was big. 9 people traveled on a little puddle jumper from Bethel to Hooper Bay and Chevak to visit almost 900 students. At Hooper Bay, we met with roughly 475 students from K-12. We spent over 4.5 hours chatting to kids about resources and opportunities to help make their dreams come true.

Then we travels to Chevak. Due to weather and extra time spent at Hooper Bay, we had to change our strategy for Chevak. We landed 30 mins before school got out and had to pass out the supplies as the students were leaving. While the circumstances were out of our control, it was great to see some smiling faces and get big hugs.

Something that is common between these two villages, education is the center focus. Driving through the street is a stark contrast to the bright colors and constant positivity that floods the hallways of the schools. Teachers are invested in their students and staff work hard to use their resources to help paint bright futures for these kids.

We returned back to Bethel to catch our flight back to Anchorage where we are wrapping up our trip. Today, we got to deliver all the clothes, monetary donations, and toys that we raised at yulistaholdingllc in support of ncac_hsv and DHR of Huntsville as part of our #yulistaCARES Holiday Gift and Toy Drive.

There will be more official posts through Social Media in the coming days, but I wanted to say how much this really blessed my heart today. I think the reality is that this time of year is hard for a lot of people. I haven’t had an ounce of Holiday Spirit this year, but knowing that we can make a dynamic impact in the individual lives of strangers who we may never meet, that is powerful. 6 family, 39 kiddos, and 3 Veterans are going to be able to have a little bit of stress taken off their shoulders & smiles on their faces because of the generosity that the employees at Yulista have shown.

That’s powerful. Just know every little bit helps. And it might make an impact on someone you didn’t expect:

Yesterday, I received the sweetest package for some the kids we traveled to Alaska to donate school supplies to as part of YulistaCARES Annual Backpack Campaign. It was an entire box of handwritten Thank You Notes from one of the village schools we visited. All the letters were from kiddos of all ages and full of colorful drawings and lovely little notes. They raised over $1300. That allowed us to not only sponsor 3 extra kids. But allow us to make sure that Family A (Yulista Employee Family) was completely outfitted for Christmas in their new home. I can’t thank everyone enough for helping making this year’s #yulistaCARES Christmas Toy Drive such an incredible success. This is by far our biggest Christmas drop we’ve done. Friday, May 13th
Kicking off the weekend, on Friday evening Yulista and the AAAA Tennessee Valley Chapter will be hosting a pre-game mixer at Stovehouse in support of the @tvc_aaaa Softball Tournament. The Shed at Stovehouse is reserved from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Everyone, including families, is invited to join us for live music and great company! Food and beverage will be available for purchase.

Saturday, May 14th
STOP #1
Start off your Saturday morning with a walk through #DowntownHSV in support of the @american_heart Association Heart Walk. Yulista's Recruiting Team will be stationed at The Square to chat about our mission and open positions with #TeamYulista. #YulistaCARES team members will be walking the event, and we hope you'll take a quick snap with the “Healthy Selfie” to promote the mission of AHA.

STOP #2
After the AHA Heart Walk, stop by the @TVC_AAAA Young Professionals Softball Tournament at Brahan Spring Park, sponsored by Yulista. Our teams will be playing for the champion title on Softball Fields #1 and #2. Come cheer for teams from Yulista, Dynetics, Avion Solutions, i3 and SAIC!

STOP #3
We encourage you to then visit the 2022 Relay for Life of N. Madison Co. This will be held at Hazel Green High School starting at 2:00 and ending at 7:00. Relay for Life is a community of like-minded survivors, caregivers, volunteers, and participants who believe that the future can be free from cancer. #TeamYulista member, Will Fowler, will be manning the grill and offering plates of pulled pork, smoked chicken and delicious sides... all homemade, nothing ever store bought! The plates will be cooked and sold at the event with all proceeds going to Relay For Life. Please come out and support this event while enjoying some great food.

We are grateful to have the opportunity to participate in supporting these organizations in the Huntsville area. We look forward to a busy weekend and hope to see you there!

It was a beautiful day for the community to raise donations and awareness of this growing epidemic that not only impacts those diagnosed but their families and friends as well. Many of our Yulista team members and families are directly impacted by this disease and we want them to know we are in this fight with you.
