On May 4, 2024, a remarkable turnout of over 70 dedicated volunteers, including members of YulistaCARES, rallied together to support the cleanup efforts at Downtown Huntsville Veteran Monument Park. The enthusiasm and unwavering commitment of these volunteers left a lasting impression, with one VFW member from the State organization going as far as to label it one of the best VFW events he had ever attended. This praise speaks volumes about the dedication and hard work exhibited by all involved.
The cleanup mission kicked off at the gate by the Earlyworks Museum and stretched all the way to the park’s front, ensuring that every nook and cranny received the attention it deserved. The presence of BG Bob Drolet, who graciously took the time to survey our progress as we neared completion, provided an additional boost of validation to our collective efforts.
With the support of other participating organizations, we came together as a community to achieve something truly special. Together, we can make a meaningful difference and continue to uplift those who have served our country with valor and distinction. Congratulations to the VFW Post 2702 for coordinating such a successful event!
