We are excited to announce that Lynn Troy joins Yulista as she remains the President of Troy7, Inc., Yulista’s newly acquired company.
Troy7 is focused on telemetry, missile design and analysis, guidance and control, intel, and directed energy. Troy7’s personnel have supported over 350 missions for the Missile Defense Agency, NASA, the Army, and the Navy. Troy7’s office is headquartered in Huntsville, AL with additional personnel in Colorado Springs. As the President of Troy7, Lynn’s responsibilities have ranged from securing new engineering contracts and setting up all the internal business systems and procedures required for government contracting to employee benefit plan structuring, payroll, and facilities management. Her most important role is being the leader of an extremely talented group of engineering professionals and guiding the company. Troy7 has been incredibly honored to be a contender for nine consecutive years for the Chamber of Commerce’s Best Place to Work in the Small Business Division and a winner for six of those years (2013-2018). Troy7 was also honored to receive Huntsville’s Woman Owned Small Business of the year in 2020.
A 1987 graduate of Arab High School, Lynn received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) in 1992. Prior to founding Troy7 in 2007, she spent over 19 years at Teledyne Brown and Teledyne Solutions as a missile flight engineer. The core of Lynn’s work at Teledyne was analyzing target system performance against established end-user threat-based requirements and supporting weapon system flight testing at remote launch sites.
In addition to Troy7, Lynn was one of the founding owners of Rocket Republic Brewing Company, a local craft brewery from 2013-2020.
Lynn currently serves on several non-profit Boards: Huntsville Chamber Executive Committee (Chair Elect), Habitat for Humanity (President), Community Foundation (Treasurer), American Heart Association’s Heart Ball ELT (2021 Chair). She also serves on the Women’s Philanthropy Society’s Advisory Board (Grant Chair), the UAH College of Business Advisory Board, and she is a Hudson Alpha Ambassador. Lynn is a member of this year’s Leadership Alabama Program – Class XXXI. Lynn was honored by Yellowhammer News as one of 20 Women of Impact for the state of Alabama in 2021. In 2018, Lynn received the Russell G. Brown Executive Leadership award and was recognized as one of Alabama Media Groups Women Who Shape the State. In 2013, she received the Technology Award from WEDC’s Women Honoring Women. Lynn is a graduate of the Huntsville Leadership Flagship Class (L29) and the 2019 FBI Citizens Academy.
Lynn resides in Huntsville, Alabama with her husband, John Troy. The Troy’s have four children and six grandchildren.
