Prior to joining Yulista, Jong managed tactical missiles and missile defense systems research and development programs, and prior to that, successfully held program and engineering management positions in Industry and Government.

As a retired Army Colonel and Aviator, Steve brings over 30 years of military leadership, aviation, and program management experience to the Yulista team. Prior to joining Yulista, Steve was an Army Acquisition Corps member and managed aviation and missile research and development, prototyping, procurement, and test and evaluation programs. During his last tour on Redstone Arsenal, from July 2020 to June of 2023, he served as the Chief of Staff for the Army’s Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office and the Military Deputy of the Aviation and Missile Center.

He served as a Division Chief at the Redstone Test Center and provided subject matter expertise for aircraft survivability equipment as a Senior Principal Systems Engineer with the Army PMO-ASE. His expertise spans leading teams of flight test engineers, overseeing instrumentation design, integration, and data acquisition.
