On February 6, 2025, three Yulista Services LLC (YSL) teammates were honored for their dedication and leadership at the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). Major General Thomas P. Sherman, USAFA Vice Superintendent, and Colonel Joel Brown, Director of the Center for Character and Leadership Development, recognized Elena Merriman, Erin Reid-Holmstedt, and Lindsey Shoemaker for successfully completing the Superintendent’s Leader of Character Certificate Program.
This prestigious program required participants to engage in multiple leadership workshops, develop an action learning plan, and complete a final project. Their achievement is a testament to their commitment to personal and professional growth, as well as their ongoing contributions to USAFA’s mission.
As members of YSL’s Healthy Relationships Education team, Elena, Erin, and Lindsey play a vital role in training USAFA cadets and faculty on professional interpersonal skills. Their work focuses on critical topics such as sexual assault prevention, suicide awareness, and domestic abuse response, equipping future leaders with the knowledge and tools to foster a safe and supportive environment.
Their impact has been widely recognized, with training audiences consistently praising them as knowledgeable, personable, and engaging facilitators. Their ability to connect with cadets and faculty alike ensures that these essential topics are not only understood but also internalized as part of USAFA’s leadership culture.
