Tunista Services, LLC, a wholly owned 8(a) subsidiary of Yulista Holding, LLC, was awarded a five year, firm-fixed price contract supporting the US Air Force at Maui, HI providing base operations and facility support services. The Maui Base Operations Support (BOS) contract is the second contract win for TSL in the fourth quarter of 2017.
The Air Force Maui Optical & Supercomputing (AMOS) Site consists of two facilities that conduct space situational awareness (SSA) operations and research & development. The first facility is the Maui Space Surveillance Complex (MSSC), a state-of-the-art electro-optical facility that combines research and development with an operational mission. The MSSC, located at 10,000 feet above sea level, has a stable climate with minimal scattered surface light providing excellent viewing conditions most of the year and the best daytime seeing in the world. The MSSC houses the largest telescope in the DoD, the 3.6-meter Advanced Electro-Optical System (AEOS), as well as several other telescopes ranging from 0.4-2.6-meters. The second facility is the Maui High Performance Computing Center (MHPCC) that is located at sea level.
TSL will be aiding their mission by providing all BOS services which includes management of personnel, equipment, and services necessary to operate these facilities. TSL will also provide facility and infrastructure repair, maintenance and support, physical plant operations, grounds maintenance, refuse collection and disposal, limited architect/engineering services, and logistics support.
