School is back in session and thanks to you 1,941 students in Alaska, Alabama, Tennessee, Virginia, New Jersey, Kentucky, Florida and Hawaii went into their first day of school prepared with the school supplies they needed to be successful.
In August, Yulista team members (Diana Slaughter, Kelly Florence, Crystal Bailey, Liz Sparks and Hibah Setayesh) and joined by Regina Therchik and Russ Slaten of Calista Corporation, traveled to Alaska to deliver backpacks to students in rural villages. The team traveled by boat, truck and school bus to Aniak, Kalskag and Crooked Creek. Due to weather conditions the team couldn’t travel to Sleetmute, but don’t you fret, each school including schools in Chuathbaluk and Stony River—received their backpacks & supplies just in time for the first week of school!
