WHAT IS THIS BACKPACK CAMPAIGN I KEEP HEARING ABOUT?
Through generous donations, Yulista and our communities raise and deliver backpacks filled with school supplies to students across the nation. In today’s challenging economy, many families struggle to cover the increasing costs of school essentials for their children. Our goal is to alleviate that burden and help equip students with the tools they need to be successful in their education.
2024 GOAL // DOING THINGS A LITTLE DIFFERENTLY:
Starting Monday, April 1 – May 31, we have a goal to raise 1,700 backpacks and supplies for students in 8 states! Once we exceed our goal (in true Team Yulista fashion) all extra funds raised will be used to purchase requested classroom & teacher needs for the schools in Alaska. YulistaCARES has covered the cost of the hygiene kits meaning we can put all our focus on raising backpacks! We plan on delivering 500 of those backpacks and add on hygiene kits to students in Alaska. The remaining 1,200 backpacks will be delivered to the selected nominated schools.

This campaign is a huge undertaking and we couldn’t do it without the help of our Backpack Volunteer Committee: Liz Sparks, Juan Munoz, Kayla Larson, Lauren Sanderson, Jenna Jackson, Crystal Bailey, Bradley Robison, Joel Zuber, Tori Jeffries, Lynn Troy, and Derrick Mitchell. This isn’t just a campaign that lasts 2 months. Between, pre and post preparation/coordination this takes the entire year to plan. Our BPC volunteers have put so much work into this campaign. We appreciate the extra hours and effort you’ve contributed to make this year a success for our team and the students/schools we donate to.
